Joel Alberts has been a member of PG Track for eight years. In high school he was a 1500 finalist at the BC High Schools, earned several provincial medals in distance events and finished fourth place in the 3000 steeplechase at the Canadian Junior Nationals. He now attends the University of Idaho where he runs track and cross country. He has been a 1500 finalist at the Big West Conference Championships every year and was also a member of the Big West Champions team in 2000 and 2001. This season he won the mile at several indoor meets and finished ninth in the mile at the Mountain Pacific Indoor Championships.
