Heidi was an outstanding Age Class and BC High school middle distance Runner. As a 16 year old Heidi was seriously injured when struck by a Logging Truck from behind while she road her Bike. Not to be deterred, she persevered and following a year of recovery joined the University of Alberta Womens Track Team . She quickly became one of that teams outstanding Mid distance and cross country runners. Named Captain of her team in her second year in Univ., she has led her group to several Univ. Team Top 3 places. Now competing in her final year at UofA, where she is majoring in education. In addition to her University Heidi has worked the past four summers as head Junior Development Coach, She has been in charge of the 6-12 year old program, and the 13-15 year old mid distance group. She enters the teaching profession in Sept 2004
