Rob’s competitive track career started in the 1996 BC Summer Games when he was a double medalist. He was also an 800m finalist in the BC High Schools for several years. This star middle distance runner for PG Track and Duchess Park went on to the University of Victoria where he is earning a business degree and competing for the Vikes. At University Rob was 3rd place in the1000 and 1st in the 4X800 relay at the 2000 Canada West Championships In the 2003 season he finished 1st in the 600 at the Washington Indoor Invitational meet as he ran 1:23.80. Rob is a certified Level 2 coach and this summer he is in charge of coaching for the senior age athletes at PG Track and Field. Rob’s Coaching input has contributed largely over the past two years in the development of younger Club athletes Such as Geoff Martinson #1 BC HS 800 meters and a member of Team Canada at the World Youth meet in 2003.
