Angie started running with the track club at age 14 when she qualified for the BC Summer Games in the 1500 and 3000. She excelled in the region as top five performer in distance races throughout high school. She was also a bronze medalist in the BC championships in both the 800 and 1500. She attended Blackburn secondary school and was top finisher in the BC High School championships.

Angie’s distance times earned her an athletic scholarship at the University of Missouri in Columbia. In school she is majoring in physiotherapy and earning straight A’s. She is currently red shirting due to injury but will be a top runner on the team after she recovers.
